Putin May Retaliate
It was reported that ISIS had claimed responsibility for the fatal crash of Metrojet flight KGL 9268 carrying tourists from Sharm al-Sheikh to St. Petersburg.
Russian officials initially said there was no way ISIS could have brought the plane down because shoulder-fired surface-to-air-missiles don’t have a range high enough – the plane was flying at 31,000 feet when it began its fall.
The Daily Mail reported, “Alexander Neradko, head of Russia’s federal aviation agency, confirmed the jet disintegrated at high altitude in a remote region where Egypt is fighting ISIS and al-Qaeda-backed terrorists.
Terrorism and aviation experts believe a bomb was more likely cause for crash than a missile or mechanical failure They cite fact there was no distress call and fuselage skin peeled outwards from ‘force acting outwards from within’ Russian expert close to investigation likened disaster to 1988 Lockerbie tragedy when Boeing was blown out of sky.
