Earthquake Swarm Hits Oklahoma

14 successive earthquakes hit north and central Oklahoma 1/8/2016. Over 70 earthquakes have hit in the past week. Fears are rising that the "big one" may be imminent. Edmond and Fairview areas have been the most affected. A 4.8 hit the Fairview area Wednesday.

Oklahoma in 2014 had at 5,415 earthquakes. In comparison, the state had just 109 magnitude-3 quakes in 2013, according to the Oklahoma Geologic Survey.
