US Flu Season Reporting Record Deaths
This year’s US cold and flu season is on track to be one of the worst in decades, says public health official Anthony Fauci. Anthony is director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases.
CDC estimates that so far this season there have been at least 6.4 million flu illnesses, 55,000 hospitalizations and 2,900 deaths from flu.
Influenza B/Victoria viruses are predominant nationally, which is unusual for this time of year.
