Rentageddon Coming To USA
Over 12 million Americans may be facing evection notices as last months rent payments for housing have went unpaid. Payments have been missed because of job loss during the coronavirus pandemic.
Even more staggering is the fact that as many as 23 million have little or no confidence in their ability to make the next rent payment, according to weekly Census Bureau data.
About a third of the country’s renters are protected by an eviction moratorium that covers properties with federally insured mortgages. That expires July 25.
